Superb food,service & delightful surroundings. Old pub, w beautiful sculptures inside & in the glorious gardens.vine clad loggia particularly attractive in summer. Children v welcome.
I love this restaurant. If the weather’s good (just like the whole of 2018, so far) then you enjoy the chance to unwind before lunch in the stunning garden with a drink before a perfect Michelin star quality lunch. Very special indeed.

Small and cosy with friendly welcoming staff. Very nice meal except my steak was more rare than medium to well done. Excellent presentation of food. Desserts are gorgeous. Slightly more expensive than my local area and no car park, so need to park on the road side but well worth visiting.
We live locally but have never visited before and chose it based on the TripAdvisor reviews and ratings. It didn't disappoint - the food we chose was well presented and very tasty - all the items on the plate blended just right and were really nicely balanced meals. For us - the size of the main course and sweets were exactly what we wanted - not too much or too little. The Pub itself has a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere and still retains its typical village ambience which isn't easy to find these days. Would definitely visit again - the only downsides were you had to park on the road and the chairs were not particularly comfortable - neither of which bothered us - but may be issues for others

Dropped in for a drink after a long ride on the bike - it was clear we weren't locals but that didn't matter. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We sat in the lovely, large garden in the afternoon watching birds of prey fly above. I'd definitely visit again if in the area

Been a while since we had a roast and it did not disappoint!! Meat was cooked really well, generous portion and good value for money!! Definitely be visiting again... oh, and the adult sundaes are amazing
We were staying in the area for a few nights and this place was recommended to us. It is such a lovely country pub, we felt very welcome and the community feel is really lovely. We really enjoyed our food which was really reasonably priced. I had the gammon steak which was tasty and a good size for hungry guests and my partner had the fish and he really enjoyed it - he was very happy that they served good ale too. I would reccomend, especially on a sunny day.
